Training will introduce the application of cutting-edge technologies in the breeding of plant species. Lecturers from famous institutions are most experienced scientists from this field of research. They are participating in EUCLEG project “Breeding forage and grain legumes to increase EU’s and China’s protein self-sufficiency” (www.eucleg.eu).
Training will interactively cover different topics and themes about genetic markers (Genotyping By Sequencing, SNP arrays), methods in plant breeding (Genome-Wide Association Studies and genomic selection) and integration of molecular and phenotypic data in databases (Eurisco1 and Progeno2) and their management and analyses. Detailed programme is available here.
Registration fee, including participation to both days, material, lunches and coffee breaks, is free of charge for attendees and will be covered by EUCLEG project (www.eucleg.eu). Preference in participation have attendees which are not directly involved in EUCLEG project. Number of participants is limited to 50 persons. We deeply encourage potential participants to attend the two training days.
Deadline for registration is 10. September 2019, or until the number of participants is reached.
